How to set up online bookings for your salon
A practical checklist for a clear service menu, eligible staff, working hours, booking photos and a real customer test before sharing your link.

Make the menu clear to a new client
Use service names a client would ask for at reception. Include the price, realistic duration and what the service covers. If removal, consultation or preparation changes what they should book, explain that clearly rather than relying on a note after the booking.
Check staff and time settings
Assign each service to eligible staff and choose who can take it online. Set working hours, blocked time and cleanup time before opening the diary to clients.
In Polissh you can choose 15-, 30- or 60-minute online start intervals, with 30 minutes as the default. This is independent of your service durations and the internal calendar's selection intervals.
Add recognisable salon photos
Use a clear cover photo and your logo so the link feels like your salon. Upload them from your device, check the preview and confirm they still appear after refreshing the page. Use photographs you have permission to publish and avoid showing identifiable clients without consent.
Decide how deposits will work
If you require deposits, connect your salon's PayFast account and explain the amount and terms before payment. Check the difference between a pending request and a verified receipt. Do not advertise a booking as paid merely because a link was generated.
Try the link as a client
Open the public link on a phone, choose a service and professional, and check the offered times against the diary. Test the phone-number verification step and any deposit process using a controlled booking. Remove or cancel test bookings appropriately and reconcile any real test payments.
Only then share the link on your website, social profiles or with clients. Keep a contact option for people who need help choosing a service.
