Privacy Policy

Polissh is salon booking and management software, operated by Phariot Pty Ltd in South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Salon owner and staff accounts: your name and email address, and a password or Google account you use to sign in.

Your salon's clients: names, phone numbers, email addresses and booking details such as services, times, staff assigned, notes and payment records for their appointments.

Payment records for deposits: the deposit amount and payment status for an appointment. Card details are handled by PayFast and never stored by Polissh.

Message records: that a reminder or message was sent to a client's phone number or email, and whether it was delivered.

To run bookings and the calendar, keep client records, and show salons their own business information.

To send appointment messages such as reminders and booking confirmations, by SMS or WhatsApp through Twilio, when the salon asks us to.

To collect deposit payments for appointments through PayFast, on the salon's own PayFast account.

We never sell personal information to anyone.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we only receive your name, email address and profile picture. We cannot see your Google password, your contacts, or anything else in your Google account.

A salon using Polissh decides what client information to store and is responsible for that information. If you booked with a salon and have a question about your information, contact the salon first. If the salon cannot help, you can reach us at hello@polissh.com.

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

You may ask us to correct or update information that is wrong.

You may ask us to delete your personal information, or to remove your details from our records, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

To use any of these rights, email hello@polissh.com. We will confirm your identity where necessary and respond within a reasonable time.

You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
